A unique pendant from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 12kt rosy yellow gold, bog oak wood has been hand carved into the shape of an urn. The wood has a wonderful diamond and crosshatched pattern, and it displays a doubled golden heart on each side. The urn has a golden foot, a tightly capped golden neck, and hangs from a matching chain. A larger ring is found at the center of the chain, readying the pendant to hang from a favorite chain. This unique piece rests slightly asymmetrically, tilting gently to one side, highlighting the natural, carved wood. An unusual pendant, this would be a wonderful addition to a Victorian afficionado's collection!
Measurements: The urn measures approximately 1 1/4" tall, 1" wide, and slightly more than 7/8" deep. With the chain, the pendant hangs nearly 2" long.
Condition: The pendant is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or chain.
