Pillars of icy, earthen majesty manifest in this exquisite work by Barbara Heinrich. Inspired by the Viedma Glacier in Patagonia, Argentina, the maker masterfully creates her composition. Here, she carefully carves an undulating form upon its surfaces of high karat gold. As if to mirror the marveling glacier cliffs and the crevasses beneath, she adheres granulated, golden spheres amongst sparkling diamonds, which are cradled in the precious metal. The artist achieves pure exceptionality as she cleverly marries intricacy with delicate design. Upon the ear, the comfort the piece is wonderfully paired with the subtle eloquence it leaves behind. Quite a stunning expression to behold, readily positioned to capture the heart.
